With older children ready to show the little ones how it's done and the
younger ones eager to learn, Family Time becomes a multi-layered
learning environment. Designed to allow families with multiple children
to experience music together, this class offers a
variety of ways for children of different ages to
participate
to the same music, with each child learning at his own level and
pace.
In an exciting atmosphere of songs, movement, instrument play,
musical stories and games, children Newborn - 7 years of age will learn
about music with their families and friends. Each week, we'll introduce basic musical concepts
and then give you the songs, instruments, and freely-structured class time
to put those concepts into play.
Family Time classes are
open to families of all sizes,
so whether you have one child or children of different ages, this class offers you a fun way to spend quality time
together and nurture your family's love for music. Children in Family
Time learn about music while they develop important social skills
like sharing and taking turns. Siblings learn to work together as
family and the "only child" learns to work with his peers - an important
skill that will benefit him in school experiences and throughout his
life. In Family Time, you'll
see how music can bring you closer
as a family! And other family
members (such as grandparents) are welcome to join the fun!
